This is a typeface developed from scratch in a typography class during my time at university. The typeface needed to in some way relate to the word "symbiosis" and me being me decided that the character Venom was the perfect vessel for a typeface.
The project was then developed into a zine to promote the typeface.
The Final Zine
For the final zine, we were restricted to just 3 colours (including paper colour) as well as all images had to be constructed using only the typeface. I had the idea to create a zine that looked as if it was being taken over by Venom in the form of my typeface. For a final touch, I created grungy textures in the workshop with various inks and textured surfaces to then bring into Photoshop and refine.
